Based
on a sustainable and self reliant lifestyle, the Inner Arctic Circle Center is an
open survivalist project that begins from basic necessities and
strives to create freedom of expression.
The
purpose of the organisation is to further ways of life that
are independent of the prevailing economic systems with a central
focus on promoting self reliant means of sustenance. In support of
localized, peripheral and Arctic lifestyle, the organisation
wants to help in any self employment project that adheres to
principles of sustainable culture and ecological responsibility.
A
focal part of the organisation's work is furthering the understanding
we have of our environment and assisting in matters of
self-education. Surviving in
the natural world and living in the wild of
wilderness requires skills and experience ranging from hunting,
cooking and conserving foods, to identifying different plants and
mushroom, fish and game. In addition handcrafts, medical aid and peer support are also of great significance under the prevailing natural condition.
The
purpose of survival is to have culture,
and Inner Arctic Circle Center wants to provide the conditions and
residence for makers of any kind of culture that is not in violation
of the principles of sustainable living.
